Crews Battle Fire at Multi-Family Home

A three-alarm fire on Ellery Street in Providence forced about two dozen people from their homes at about 2 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12.
Residents were able to escape thanks to working smoke detectors, according to fire officials, and some even had to jump from the second floor.  Two firefighters and one resident suffered injuries.
